It is the age of a hundred definitions. It is the twang of a steel guitar; it’s a straw sticking up through the mouth of a coke bottle; it’s a nose pressed against the window of a fashion centre; it’s the rattle of an old heap; it’s the key being turned in the ignition of a brand new T-Bird; it’s 77 Sunset Strip, Zorro, and American Bandstand; it’s Dwayne Eddy and Tony Dow; it’s the water lapping at a dozen splashing ankles; it’s the moon stealing over lover’s lane; it’s the beating of a boy’s heart at the sight of a new girl; it’s the tears shed from pretty eyes at a heart-tugging movie; it’s the ear listening to the sound of troubled words; it’s the mind struggling over a difficult math problem; it’s half a dozen spelling mistakes; it’s the sound of rain beating down on a football field; it’s the cheer of youth as a mud-splattered hero scores a touchdown; it’s the laughter of a nation over the latest antics of Jerry Lewis; it’s the eyes and hearts that cried over the deaths of Buddy, Ritchie, Eddie and Johnny; it’s the hand tracing a map of Europe; it’s a poster tacked up for a May Queen Contest; it’s the eyes lifted in prayer; it’s the five-page letter that never got mailed; it’s the old scarred autograph book; it’s the age of a teen. 1961 - 1962 Principal: Drayton Walker Vice-Principal: C.H. The school is bustling with excitement concerning the new addition to Mount Royal. The $2,600,000 project, which will be finished for the 1967-68 term will include new classrooms, a cafeteria, a new French Language lab, technical shops, and a new library.
