Some interesting Facts:

•    Mount Royal became a designated Community School in the fall of 2001.
•    Royal West, a satellite campus for older students completing Grade 12, opened it’s doors in a converted elementary school on Whitney Avenue (just two blocks form Mount Royal) in 2002.
•    The cosmetology Program began in 2004.
•    A major renovation to the graphic arts area took place during the 2005/06 school year.
•    In the 2006/07 school year, Premier Calvert Committed $17 Million Dollars to renovate Mount Royal Collegiate.
•    The renovations to Mount Royal began during the 2008/09 school year. Several partners became involved in the renovation and contributed additional funds for the construction of a Cultural Centre and the SaskTel Innovation Station.
•    In 2009 an additional $3.3 Million dollars was committed to the project by the Government to built a free-standing 300 sq metre hangar building north of the Collegiate to house a variety of skilled trades programs.



Some yearbooks didn’t include pictures of all the clubs and activities.  Therefore, for the purpose of the 2000’s website write-up we have included any sport team, club or activity that was mentioned in the 2000 – 2009 yearbooks. Some of these lasted the entire decade while others came and went depending on the year. Graduates will remember what they took part in. We hope this synopsis spurs your memory:
